Update Chrome

If your Chromebook is taking longer than usual to load, check for the newest version of chrome operating system.

Sign into your Chromebook.
Click in the area in the Options section (right bottom corner of the home screen by the clock).
Select the gear.

a. If you can’t click on the gear there. Go to the circle in the bottom left corner. Click on it. Select ‘Settings’.

4. On the right scroll down to the bottom, select 'About Chrome OS'.

5. Choose 'Check for updates'.

6. Once you have run the update, restart your device.

7. Note which version the device is at. Repeat steps #4-6 until the device no longer updates with a different version.

If the problem persists, try clearing the cache.
