If your Chromebook isn’t charging, or not turning on while plugged in, please check the following items:
Remove any power strips and surge protectors. Remove any mouse or remote mouse USB plug.
Inspect the charger. Check for any physical damage and check that the power cable is firmly pulled into the charging block.
Verify that the power outlet you are using is working by plugging something else into the outlet, like a lamp.
Make sure the district supplied charging cable is securely plugged into the Chromebook and the power outlet.
On the Dell Chromebook there are 2 charging ports, one on each side. Try both ports.
If this does not work, try a hard reset (instructions below).
