Remove any power strips and surge protectors. Remove any mouse or remote mouse USB plug.
Inspect the charger. Check for any physical damage and check that the power cable is firmly pulled into the charging block.
Verify that the power outlet you are using is working by plugging something else into the outlet, like a lamp.
Make sure the district supplied charging cable is securely plugged into the Chromebook and the power outlet.
On the Dell Chromebook there are 2 charging ports, one on each side. Try both ports.
Turn off your Chromebook.
Press and hold the Refresh key and the Power button.
When your Chromebook starts up, release the Refresh key.
If your Chromebook still doesn’t turn on, you may have a hardware issue that will need to be diagnosed by a SSD technology assistant. Please take your device to the media center and fill out a Chromebook Technology Request form.
