This is a run-through of the general safety while in the machine shop. This includes safety glasses, close toed shoes, clean workspace, no loose clothing or jewelry, and make smart decisions while operating a machine. This also goes through our fall schedule and what trainings will be like.

This looks into the tools that are used by manufacturing on a day to day basis. This goes through hex keys, drills, wrenches, snap rings and rivets. Each slide shows a different tool and has a quick run-down of what the tools purpose is and why it used.

This looks through what prototyping is and how you can make a good prototype design to prepare for a final concepts. We prototype using 80/20 or wood and Lexan to easily assemble and disassemble prototypes.

Lesson 4 shows how to assemble a gearbox correctly and make it work properly and without breaking. There is also a few quick reminders to keep in mind whilst assembling gearboxes.

This is a quick look into our drivetrains that we use depending on the goals of the robot and what type of mobility we will need. This looks at a swerve drive and a tank drive and what each one is capable of doing.

These are our components we use commonly on each robot from year to year. This includes belts, gears, chains, pulleys, snap rings, etc. There is also a slide that shows temporary parts that can help support the robot like tape or zip ties but should never be left on.

This is an overview of the types of motions and mechanical devices. This includes types of motions like Rotary motion and oscillating motion. While there is also other things like inputs and outputs, speed, force, and torque and simple gear train.

This slideshow explains most of the robot subsystems used on our robots and shows an image of what they look like. Some of the concepts shown in the slides are flywheels, articulating arm, telescoping arm, and intake systems.
