Robots hang inner tubes of their alliance color on an octagonal rack. Alliances earn bonus points for multiple inner tubes of their color in a row or column, like tic-tac-toe.

Robots were allowed flexibility in their size and weight. Heavier robots had to be shorter, whereas lighter robots could be taller.

Team 20 is in this video – we were on the red alliance. Look for the robot marked with "20". 1305 teams competed in 37 regionals.
