2021 used the same game and game rules as 2020 with a few minor modifications. The major difference being that the 2021 FIRST Competition was held virtually and not in person. Teams competed by submitting images, videos, and descriptions of their robots to demonstrate their technical abilities. Teams could also submit videos of their robots skills to demonstrate what their robot could do. There was also an option for teams to create a flyer to advertise their robots capabilities to accompany the videos.
