In Math 7, students explore the foundations of algebra and develop problem solving skills through their use of rational numbers, determining volume and surface area, comparing experimental results to theory, solving linear equations and inequalities, and determining slope.
History class explores events from the end of the Civil War in 1865 through the present day, and students develop the intellectual skills required for responsible citizenship.
In Life Science, students develop a more complex understanding of change, cycles, patterns, and relationships in the living world, building on basic principles like cellular organization and the classification of organisms; relationships among organisms, populations, communities, and ecosystems; and genetics.
English class develops strong reading, writing, communicating, and research skills at higher levels through comparing fiction and nonfiction, with an increased emphasis on nonfiction.
