The University of Sheffield has been approached by the Parliamentary Assistant to Lord Best, a Crossbench Member of the House of Lords with expertise in housing and planning matters.
Lord Best is looking to recruit a new Parliamentary Assistant, this vacancy is now live on Career Connect, - a ten-month contract, working for 26 hours per week, with a start date in October. They are targeting students currently studying/nearly finishing a postgraduate course and those UG and PGT students graduating this year
Lord Best usually advertises the position at LSE and the University of York, but this year are approaching TUoS for the first time, as we offer courses in housing, planning and urban regeneration.
We're really keen to help find the best candidate from Sheffield. Interviews will be on campus on 4 July. Shortlisting is being done by the Careers Service. Nature and Wildlife Outreach programme
Nature and Wildlife volunteers teach children about animal and plant evolution and how scientific methods have changed through history. Volunteers visit primary schools in teams to deliver the interactive lesson for children aged 9 to 11. No teaching experience required as support and training provided.
