Degree Classification

The modules you take at years 2 and 3 (and year 4 if you’re on a four-year programme) form the basis of your degree classification. Your first-year grades do not count towards this.

Your degree classification is determined by calculating:

The grades you obtain for individual modules are weighted according to (i) the number of credits that each module is worth; and (ii) the Higher Education Level at which each module is studied.

Extenuating Circumstances

Please report any extenuating circumstances to the academic adviser in your department using the form below to ensure your circumstances are considered before your degree is classified.

We award your degree classification anonymously to avoid bias.
