Year 9 Performing Arts/Toi Whakaari introduces learners to the fundamentals of effective story telling. Ākonga/Learners' observation and listening skills are refined by studying and creating pūrākau/legends that help explain the world we live in. Learners incorporate elements of a tragic story to invent a unique tragedy of their own. Collaboration is celebrated as learners produce group performances using technologies to bring ideas to life.
