Year 10 - Semester Option
In the Year 10 Semester Option course, learners start by developing their understanding of spatial design as they are challenged to develop a scale model of a building for a purpose of their own choice. In this they develop their understanding of; scale measurement, floor plans, isometric drawing and model-making. They then explore graphic design principles through the development of a real-estate advert to promote their building. Learners then progress their understanding of design thinking and ideation through product design with the development of concepts for desk organisers. In this they are introduced to the fundamentals of presenting design work with appropriate visual communication and graphics practices'.
