Course Content
Over the year we will study some of the following topics:
Friendships and relationships
Spanish speaking countries
Short stories or films or TV series
Health and well-being including the Māori model te whare tapa whā
Current events around the world
We often choose topics as a class so the list above is just a rough guide of what we may study.
As part of your Internal assessment component you will create an interaction portfolio and either a writing portfolio or a speech.
Assessment
There are three internal assessment tasks to choose from, you will complete two. The interaction standard is compulsory, you will choose between the speech and the writing portfolio. Externally assessed standards are examined nationally at the end of the year.
Qualification Gained
Full course completion - 19 or 20 credits in NCEA Spanish Level 2
