How often do you wear your uniform?
We wear a designated "Uniform of the Day" (UOD) every Friday (the shortest day of the week)! Our uniform mimics that of the Air Force's. If you fail to wear your uniform 2 times, you will be removed from the program. Understand that being enrolled in JROTC means you wear the uniform alongside your peers - and wear it with pride!

What kind of recognition do I receive in JROTC?
You can earn all types of awards during your time in JROTC! Even if you stay only 2 years, you can receive a variety of ribbons and advancement in rank. After 4 years, you receive a Certificate of Completion, which can be used to advance your rank in college-level ROTC.

Is JROTC a form of bootcamp?
Is JROTC a form of bootcamp?
Not at all! JROTC is just like a regular class period that you attend. The only time you are required to exercise is during your class period on Wednesday, alongside all of your peers. However, JROTC does offer early-morning extracurriculars such as Raider Team or Marksmanship.

You can only enroll in JROTC if you ask for it on your schedule! If you are interested, contact your guidance counselor as soon as possible in the school year!

We don't expect you to stay in a class you don't like. Talk to your guidance counselor about changing your schedule.
