School Closure through 5-4-2020

Things to know about school closure through May 4th.

SGISD Students, Parents & Staff,

Today the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, announced an extension to school closure until May 4th. We miss our students so much!! SGISD will continue to work hard in meeting the needs of our students. A few things to clear up:

1. Questions or concerns about student assignments should be made directly to your child's teachers and campus administration.

2. Pre-K tuition will be prorated. At this time, please do not submit any more payments.

3. Parental involvement hours will also be prorated. August through March will be due (8 hours total).

4. Please scan/email your child's Extension Applications mailed last week to the address on the letter.

5. Lunch will continue to be offered curbside at the SGS gym and King Ranch campus from 11:30-1:00 Monday-Friday. Meals will not be available on April 10th and April 13th in order to allow staff to spend time with family during the Easter Break.

We are hopeful that we will see our students before the school year is over. Please continue to follow all CDC recommendations and remain safe and healthy.
