Are you looking to take the GED?
We have GED Prep Classes during the daytime and evening!
GED Prep Classes are designed for students who need a refresher course to be ready to enter the GED testing process. You must be 18 as of September 1st and your high school class must have already graduated to quality for the prep classes.
All Testing and All Classes are completely FREE!
Please fill out the link above, and then call or email to start classes right away. You will need to take a placement assessment, so that we can place you in the correct class to help you successfully pass the GED.
Pre-GED/ESL Reading Strategies
This class offers individualized learning designed to provide rapid improvement for those with low reading skills. This is a great class for those looking to build reading skills for GED, training courses, or community college.
ELIGIBILITY FOR GED TESTING
Test-takers must be 18 years of age and not currently enrolled in a traditional high school.
Test-takers must have driver’s license, passport, military papers or other form of official government (national or foreign) ID that shows name, birth date, signature, and photograph.
No certificates will be issued until test-taker is 18 and high school class has graduated, unless the individual has graduated from the Michigan Youth Challenge Program.

GED TESTING FAQs
What is on the test and how will it be scored?
The test consists of four modules: language arts, mathematical reasoning, science, and social studies. The modules will have a score range of 100 to 200. A passing score is 145 or better. You can earn three score levels on your test: GED Passing Score (145-164), GED College Ready (165-174), and GED College Ready and Credit (175-200).
What if I have tested in 2013 (or earlier) and did not pass?
The scores from the old test are not compatible with the current test; old scores cannot be transferred.
What is the cost for the GED test?
The cost for the test is $43.50 per module. The cost to take the total test is $174.00. Testers must pay by credit or debit cards. Testers must register and pay online (GED.com). Testing is only done at an official GED Test facility. If you can show success on a practice test, Asher will give you a voucher to take the official test at NO COST TO YOU.
