COMPUTER EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS - MICROSOFT OFFICE

Need to brush up on your computer skills that employers want? Learn the basics of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more). Any computer skill level welcomed. At the end of the class, you'll have the skills necessary to add "Microsoft Office knowledable" to your resume.Instructor: Fuller.

COMPUTER FUNDAMENTALS WITH WINDOWS 10

This course is for students who would like to build beginning computer skills, particularly with the Windows 10 operating system. No prior experience with computers is necessary; this is a true beginners course!The class will cover how personal computers work, using the mouse and keyboard and an explanation of operating systems. You will learn how to manage files and storage (including cloud-based storage), how to connect to the internet for browsing, searching forinformation and emailing. Security, maintenance and basic troubleshooting will also be covered. Instructor: Moffitt.A book is required for this course and can be purchased the first night of class. *Book fee: $30 (cash or checks only).

CYBER SECURITY BASICS

This hands-on workshop will guide you through Cyber security basics, including how to safely use different web browsers, awareness of e-mail scams and how to avoid them.Learn about phishing and how to spot suspicious sites and links. Password precautions will also be discussed. 2 hour course.Instructor: Barnosky.

EXCEL BASICS (In-person class)

This course is for students who would like to build basic skills in the use of Microsoft's spreadsheet application, Excel. Topics include: General file and folder management, data entry, editing and formatting to build basic spreadsheets, building formulas, sorting, filtering, charts, graphs and templates. This course requires no prior experience with Excel. General experience with using a mouse and keyboard is recommended. No book is required; handouts with exercises in each topic are will be provided. The online version of Excel used in this class is free to use from any internet connected computer at https://www.office.com.Instructor: Moffitt.

MICROSOFT EXCEL - INTERMEDIATE (In-person class)

This course is for students who would like to build their skills beyond basic use of Microsoft's spreadsheet application, Excel. Familiarity with most of the topics covered in the Basics course is recommended. This course is suitable as a standalone for those with prior experience or as a follow-on for those completing the Basics course. No book is required; handouts and data files for exercises in each topic area will be provided. Topics include: using the VLOOKUP function, pivot tables and charts, logical functions, functions to use with text, dates, and time, and what-if analysis including Goal Seek.  There will be flexibility to address other topics based on the interests and goals of the students.Instructor: Moffitt.

MICROSOFT WORD BASICS

This is a course for those who wish to understand the functions of Word. Go beyond just word processing to see how to get the most of this application.General experience with a computer (basic typing skills), keyboard and mouse is required.  Class will cover document formatting, design, layout and templates.There will be flexibility to cover other topics based on interests and goals of the students. NOVICE COMPUTER TRAINING

No computer experience necessary! In this course, you will learn through hands-on instruction: How to use a mouse and keyboard, how to use a computer to send an email or type a letter. Also, how to manage files and folders, and basic computer concepts. Instructor: Fuller

POWERPOINT ADVANCED

This course is for students who wish to build their skills beyond basic Power Point navigation. Familiarity with the topics covered in the Power Point basics is highly recommended.Students will build a presentation using a topic of their choosing with the opportunity to deliver the presentation and refine the overall materials.Instructor: Barnosky.

SMART PHONE SECURITY BASICS

During this hands-on workshop you will guided through a variety of tasks including: how to silence unwanted calls and block phishing text messages and much more! Learn how to increase online security and improve your cyber smarts. Bring your fully charged iPhone or Android with you to class.Instructor: Barnosky.
