NJROTC units frequently engage in fundraising activities to support their programs, covering expenses for competitions, travel, equipment, and other activities that enhance cadet development. These fundraisers often involve the cadets themselves, fostering teamwork and leadership skills while raising vital funds. For any JROTC unit, fundraising can be challenging, especially in a school environment where many other organizations are tapping the same resources. SFHS NJROTC hosts an annual yard sale and pancake breakfast, sells snacks at lunch, among other things, but it still remains a struggle to raise sufficient funds for buses, activity supplies and competition gear. To that end, monetary donations are always welcome and greatly appreciated.
Additionally, each year we participate in Wreaths Across America which includes raising donations for wreaths to be laid on gravesites at the National Cemetery in December. Not only is this an honorable cause, but the unit earns $5 for every wreath donated through our Wreaths Page (link below).
Overview - Wreaths Across America
The MidwayUSA foundation's mission is to sustain and grow youth shooting sports by providing long-term funding to youth shooting teams and helping communities and organizations raise funds. Donations made on behalf of Santa Fe's Marksmanship program will be matched by the foundation and paid out to the unit once a year. (link below)
