Armed Drill Team (Regulation & Exhibition)
Regulation Commander: Cadet Lieutenant Junior Grade James Bowker-Fullem
Exhibition Commander: Cadet Lieutenant Commander Jaiden Carrillo
The Armed Drill Team is made up of cadets who perform and compete using Demilitarized Drill Rifles. We use a replica 1903 Springfield that weighs 8.5 pounds.
Cadets work on mastering regulation drill which consists of executing various drill commands while carrying the rifle. Once the team has locked in the basics, they move on to exhibition drill.
Exhibition routines are created by the Exhibition Commander and normally last anywhere from 4 - 6 minutes depending on the requirements of each drill meet.
Armed Exhibition routines traditionally include rifle passes, tosses, and spins all while marching and creating various formations that move around the drill deck.
Practice: Monday - Friday 7:25 - 8:25 am (Zero Hour)
Tuesday and Thursday 4:15 -6:00 pm
