Student eligibility will be determined by the following criteria. These include:
Initial eligibility for participation in any interscholastic sport is based upon the grades from the marking period preceding the activity for the second, third and fourth quarter. Eligibility for the first quarter (beginning in grade 7) is based upon the final grades from the preceding year.
All athletes and club participants must be in accordance with the school’s attendance policy
All athletes and club participants must receive a grade of 65 or above in each marking period.
Eligibility for the first quarter is based upon the final grades from the preceding year for 7th and 8th graders. Following the first quarter, eligibility for participation in athletics, extracurricular clubs, or organization for all students will be based upon the grades from the marking period preceding the activity for the second, third quarter.
All club and organization members must have earned a grade of 65 or above in seven (7) classes the semester prior to the activity. Additionally, they must not have any unserved disciplinary consequences or be classified as chronically absent (absent from school or more than 18 days for the year).
A student must have attended at least half of the school day to be eligible for that day’s activity (game, competition, meeting, or practice). This also includes attendance in school on Friday for a full day to be eligible to participate on Saturday or Sunday. The Administration may make an exception before the student’s departure from school for that day.
Students who participate in clubs and after school sponsored activities will be held to the same standards as student athletes. This includes maintaining eligibility status as established in our athletic handbook and discipline standards as outlined in this handbook.
