Invests Strategically in Digital Resources
Leverages an understanding of school and community needs to identify and invest in digital resources such as books and ebooks to support student learning.
Current Status:
Common School Funds (CSF) are the major source of funding for resources in the district libraries. District Library Media Specialists work to ensure the goals of the library program are being met through their purchases of print and online resources. Student and staff surveys help to determine the yearly usage of online resources and future proposed purchases.
District funds are invested in maintaining and updating the library spaces and each building administrator supports the need for a flexible, welcoming learning environment.
Follett Destiny Software Library Manager and Resource Manager are essential tools. Collection Analysis assists staff in building a diverse, relevant, and age-appropriate collection at every level. Reports from Resource Manager assist staff in decision making and acquisition of devices as they age out.
