SCHOOL BASED Mental Health (SBMH)

School Based Mental Health services are available to all students in all SCSD schools.  Our district is committed to reducing barriers to accessing mental health resources.  We partner with several agencies who come into our schools to provide individual clinical counseling and talk-based, play-based, art-based, or DBT therapies to students.

Services are provided by licensed therapists, billed through insurance and/or medical assistance, and are covered by grants funded through sources such as the United Way as well as State and Federal grants.

Our School Counselors, School Psychologists, Social Worker, and YES Advocates work with families to make referrals to our partner agencies.  Please see details  about each of our school based mental health partners below.
