MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA)

Identify. Understand. Respond.

Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants

about mental health and substance-use issues.

As part of the 2021-2022 DPI Mental Health Grant, SCSD has committed to have 100% of school staff trained in MHFA.

Doing so ensures that we are able to provide supports and resources for our students and their families who may be living with mental health and substance abuse concerns.

Trainings are provided to staff members approximately bi-monthly, and will soon be open to community members.

When we know better, we can all do better. Mental health is health, no one fights alone, and it takes a village.

With supportive connections, our community can thrive in spite of living with mental health and substance abuse concerns.
