On May 23rd, 2024, three choppers landed from the sky and onto the Sewanhaka field. It was a spectacular event for everyone. We all got to experience the enjoyable fun of being with our serving veterans and navy troops and while also honoring and respecting the duty that they assure of our country.
From many student’s perspectives, they were interested in different things that happened, from a famous TikTok celebrity appearing to be able to see the inside of a helicopter. I can affirm that everyone who was able to see the event happen was glad to be a part of such a tremendous celebration.
One freshman said, “I’d really appreciated the spectacular parts of what happened during the event, like the band, to the enjoyment of controlling the military robots, to taking the time to see the inside of one of the choppers. And better yet it was really fun that we got a bunch of souvenirs and items from the event that time.” Moving on, this reply came from a friend of mine in the Class of 2028. He replied, saying, “It was fun that we had to see the helicopters come in. It was almost like a training program.” And by a teacher in the school, he claimed about the event the following, “The helicopter landing was like nothing I’ve seen before. It was such an honor to meet the service men and women, and the students had a lot of fun.”
