Write Letters of Hope
All letters must be approved by Mrs. McGee before mailing, so please don't seal the envelopes!
A Million Thanks: Cheer up deployed troops with creative, handwritten letters. Include a picture and tell them about yourself! (1 hour for 4 letters). Love For Our Elders: Brighten the day of senior citizens by writing them friendly letters. Names change monthly! (1 hour for 4 letters) Check out this site for more details: Love For Our Elders
Diocese of Cleveland “Pen Pals” Program, a Prison Ministry– Writing letters of encouragement and sharing prayer requests using “pen names” to men and women in prison. Bake for Labre
Whip up some delicious treats! Bake 2 dozen adult-sized cookies, sandwiches, or homemade soup for Labre Ministry (qualifies for 1-2 hours). Please, no rice krispie treats. You must notify Mrs. McGee BEFORE you bake so that you are clear on the parameters of the program and we know when to expect your items. emcgee@sehs.net

Brighten My Day Cards: Make cheerful cards for Labre's weekly food bags. Simple cardstock works great! (1 hour for 20 cards)
Positivity Box: Craft messages of encouragement for patients and caregivers at local hospitals. Drop them off at the designated locations at St. John Medical Center in Westlake or in Fairview Park at Fairview Hospital.

Help Lakewood Community Services Corporation with their bag preparation. Bags are used for delivery of groceries to hundreds of low-income individuals and families in Lakewood each week. Seeking to reach 9,000 bags prepped by June 2025 for use by LCSC during the summer months. See Mrs. McGee for instructions and supplies.
