The Marine Science major is a hands-on class where you learn about:
Aquaculture and aquaponics: growing plants and animals in water systems
Ecosystems: From the top of of our watershed to intertidal reefs, learn about different natural environments and why they are important
Scientific Method: Learn how to design and conduct scientific experiments, and how to report your findings
Cultural Practice: identify native limu and invertebrates, learn cultural protocol and work at various cultural sites, learn about lawaiʻa pono and fish for invasive species
Life skills: learn personal responsibility, how to collaborate with a team, following procedures and behaving professionally
