Automotive Technology

The Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (MLR) program provides specialized classroom instruction and practical shop experience to prepare students to engage in the servicing and maintenance of automobiles. The program prepares students to select, safely use, and maintain hand and power tools, and hoisting equipment. Inspection and light repair of engines, fuel, electrical, cooling, and brake systems, drive train, and suspension systems are included. We complete our pathway by venturing into sheetmetal layout, design, and fabrication. As well as introducing Gas welding with cutting, and SMAW (stick) welding.
