In the context of a case study on Christian cemeteries, it was observed that societal privileges influenced burial practices, with certain individuals granted the honor of interment within church cemeteries, while marginalized communities, such as Adivasi people, were excluded. This raises critical questions about the justification for hierarchies and privileges in the treatment of the deceased. Additionally, the traditional crematorium has often deviated from its role in honoring the dead and supporting familial rites. The objective is to design a crematorium with a fluid, egalitarian spatial organization that eliminates hierarchical distinctions and reaffirms the sanctity of the rituals connecting the living and the deceased.
