The design is to create a vast open forest where the scale of the surrounding overpowers the scale of the activity happening inside the forest. The forest takes over the entire site and the buildings occupy smaller pockets in it. 

Circulation within the crematorium becomes a journey through the forest. The journey happens in 2 folds - in the form of trails made up of wooden chips which becomes the main access path and raised walkaways and ramps which form a memorial for the public to use, made up of wooden planks treading lightly over the ground and blending in with the surrounding. The forest consists of deciduous trees which grow, transform and constantly change providing varying experiences for the users of the memorial.
