I get excited about getting to know students on an individual level and have a real impact on their lives. Knowing that I can help students find out what they are passionate about and help make a difference for the lives of future generations. I also look forward to growing as an educator and person every day!
Besides completing the edTPA, my epic moment in this program was realizing how much my teaching impacted my students. I loved being able to teach them something new and seeing the look of "I get it!" or, "Wow i didn't know that!" on their face. It makes me feel accomplished as a teacher.
I love to teach because I enjoy working with children and making a difference.
Seeing my students and their excitement to be at school and learning makes me excited to go to work at school. Seeing their lightbulbs go off when they learn something new or master a task they have been working hard on is so powerful. It brings me so much joy seeing my students forming a foundational love for school and learning and makes me feel certain that I chose the right field!
My most epic moment is helping the class bring average up on math tests and quizzes.
I get excited to see my students each and every day and love watching them learn and grow!
One of the most inspirational moments during the program is when my students encouraged me, sharing that they know I will do so well on the edTPA and that they were happy to be apart of the test and help me. Those 2nd graders lit up my world each and every day. I love them.
I love to teach because it allows me to make a difference in my students' lives. As a teacher, I have the opportunity to provide students with a safe environment to learn, grow, and build relationships. Teachers create their own communities within their classrooms, and I know mine will be a space where students feel genuinely cared for and respected.
My epic moment was the week after I had finished and submitted my edTPA. I remember walking into the classroom and feeling like things had all "come together". I could recognize and see amazing moments as they happened with my students. While I know I will continue my professional growth, I now feel ready to begin my career.
My students get me excited about going to work at school. They are the best and always have a smile on their face whenever they see me. It brightens my day and warms my heart every time I see them.
I have learned that I have more patience, will power, and organization skills than I ever thought! I also have learned that I love teaching and I cannot wait to get back into a classroom.
What makes me excited about going to work as a teacher is getting to see all of the kids smiling faces in the morning as I greet them. No matter what happens in their lives, I get to make them smile each day! And if along the way I teach them some cool stuff, that's even better!
Most epic moment in the program this year:
Rapping about text features in Reading Methods class.
The most inspirational experience I had during the program was watching my students grow throughout the year. Whether they progressed academically, or became more confident as a person, I got to be a part of that experience, helping them grow. Knowing that I will be given that opportunity again throughout the entirety of my teaching career excites me for the future.
My most inspirational experience during the program was getting to know each and every one of my students in the class. I was inspired to incorporate their interests into my lessons, build the relationships and trust with the students to connect and learn from them as well. The experience of bonding with the students and seeing their excitement for learning was an amazing experience.
The most epic moment was probably when the kids had the opportunity to choose lunch with a teacher, treasure chest or extra recess and a hand full of them chose lunch with me. I felt loved. Numerous times I had to have conversations with them about their behaviors. These conversations always make me feel bad or that I am being mean. Having them choose time with me made me recognize that they need and want structure and still love you when you lay down the rules for them.
