It is a passion and belief of mine that teachers are an important factor in cultivating a society that honors and respects the diverse culture and world that we all live in today. To understand that we are always learning, and that all of the power lies in your ability to persevere and be the best you can be.
Teaching is my passion because I am able to inspire dreamers and learners in the same way all of my students have and continue to inspire me. Watching a student’s eyes light up from curiosity and excitement in the classroom is contagious knowing that as their teacher I am making a profound impact in their learning and life. Teaching is among the most rewarding experiences in my life as I know I am able to help shape the future in a positive way.
I want to thank Gloria and all my professors for believing in me and providing me with all the wealth of knowledge that they have. I have received so much support and learned so much this year.
I love that teaching allows me to learn. I love that I get to learn about my students. I also love that teaching allows me to share a lot of my personality, interest, and stories. I love that teaching gives me front-row seats to see students’ individual talents and strengths. It’s a real joy to see your students grow and develop during your time with them.
I love to teach because education can change the quality of your life. I want to give my students the best quality of life possible.
I love teaching because everyday I am able to make a difference in someone's life which goes far beyond knowledge. To me, that is the most rewarding feeling.
What gets me excited about going to work at school is that every day is a completely new and awesome experience. Kids are great, they keep me on my toes. They teach me just as much as I teach them.
My most inspirational experience during this program is actually seeing one of my student's light bulbs go off in their head after I explained something to them.
I get excited to work collaboratively with a community of passionate educators!
I love to teach because the children bring me so much joy! It is an amazing feeling knowing that you have helped a child to develop a skill which they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.
I love to teach because I love the challenges and triumphs that come with it. There is nothing better than guiding learners to help make what may seem impossible, possible. And I love all of the smiles, laughs, and hugs!
I am looking forward to having a class of my own so that I can implement the different teaching strategies I learned from my guide teachers. I want to build a classroom around social-emotional learning to support all of my students' different needs.
What gets me excited about going to work at school is the impact I have on my students' lives. From first graders to sixth graders, I was lucky enough to build a strong relationship with my students built on trust and respect for one another.
I have experienced how positive teacher-student relationships can have a positive impact on students' lives and their academic performance. I can make a difference in students' lives.
Epic Moment in the program this year:
Teaching an ELL how to read!
I absolutely loved working with a large English language learner population. I learned how to create fun chants and gestures to help them remember information while still having fun. I loved seeing the passion in their eyes and hear the giggles bursting from them when we made learning fun. That joy in the classroom makes this career so very rewarding and the absolute best!
I am most excited about the opportunity to influence, encourage and inspire students to follow their dreams. Helping shape ambitious young minds to become the best future individuals they could be is the most gratifying experience I could ask for in a career.
Teaching is a way to impact the lives of the youth by extending one's knowledge and sharing this with our students. I love seeing how kids are able to transform the information they receive and learn into amazing innovations and creations. Young people have vast imaginations and have endless abilities to succeed with the guidance of a dedicated educator.
The most inspirational experience during the program was staying connected as a class with a 4th grade student who became ill and was hospitalized for 21 days. As a class, we sent his family videos, pictures, and gifts to lift his spirits. What inspired me most was how caring, thoughtful, and respectful his peers were upon his return to the classroom. He was in a wheelchair and every single one of his classmates was attentive towards his well-being and included him in everything.
Most epic moment in the program this year:
Reading the "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!" to my third graders. It was one of my favorite books as a child.
I am excited to influence the lives of young people and work as a team with other teachers!
I love getting to see my students' faces each morning. I think they are all such little lights in this world and they genuinely make me happy. I also love seeing my students enjoy learning and the activities I have planned for them. It is so rewarding when you feel you have made connections and helped them to grow cognitively and as people! It is such a gift.
I love to teach because I get to interact with so many unique personalities every day.
This academic year I have learned that it is never too late in life to make crucial decisions. If I can still make a difference, be an inspiration, an encouragement, or a friend, teaching is still the noblest path I would choose without regrets.
