I’m Aleida Burns, a sophomore in the BSN program, and I’m excited to be serving as one of the Communications Directors this year for round 2!
My focus as Communications Director is to help SNA make a lasting impact on the nursing community. Through advocacy, diversity, and leadership, I’m dedicated to enhancing the connections we build with future colleagues, fellow nursing students, healthcare professionals throughout this years term. Ultimately SNA has provided me with invaluable experiences, and it’s been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my journey in nursing school.
In high school, I embraced leadership roles, serving as class president and actively participating in various clubs. Now, I’m eager to bring those skills, along with fresh perspectives, to further enrich our experience as members of SNA. Beyond academics, I enjoy baking, exercising, hiking, and exploring new places. These activities help me stay balanced and connected to myself and others.
As we enter the 2024-2025 year, I’m excited to work alongside my partner, Mariana Reyes! Being part of SNA makes the challenges of nursing school more rewarding. I’m looking forward to what we can accomplish together this year. If you ever have questions or need support, don’t hesitate to reach out. Let’s make this year the best one yet! 🌟🩺
Hi, my name is Mariana Reyes, and I’m currently in my second year of the direct entry BSN program, serving as the Social Media Chair on the Board of Directors for SNA. My passion for nursing comes from a desire to provide compassionate care, with a special focus on pediatrics. I’m excited by the idea of working with children and supporting them through their healthcare journeys. Outside of nursing, I enjoy reading, journaling, and baking. I’m thrilled to contribute to SNA and help foster a strong community of future nurses.
