Hi everyone! My name is Arianna Chavarria and I am in my third and final year of the accelerated BSN program here at SDSU-Imperial Valley. I am from Imperial, California and am twenty years old. I am very excited and honored to be the secretary for SNA 2024-2025! I know this year will be full of numerous opportunities and I hope to contribute in ways that will support my fellow nursing students. I have been a part of SNA since my freshman year and was a global initiative for the year 2023-2024. This experience as a board member made me understand my love for contributing to the SNA organization and making nursing school as enjoyable as possible.

I plan on obtaining my BSN and continuing my education. As of right now I am not sure exactly what I want to pursue later on in my career, but some of my interests include nurse practitioner or certified registered nurse anesthetist. The ICU is definitely a department I am interested in, as critical care is something that fascinates me. I currently work in the emergency department at my Pioneers Memorial Hospital as an ER tech. I have been working there for about a year and really enjoy the experiences I am getting in regards to patient interaction and the critical care aspect.

My hobbies consist of reading, running, and traveling with my family. I came to the realization that personal care and hobbies are one of the most important aspects when going through nursing school. I make sure to spend as much time as I can with my family, whether it be going for a walk or taking a weekend trip out of town. Again, I am very excited to be the SNA secretary for this upcoming school year and I hope to contribute to this organization as much as possible!
