Hello, my name is Kadyn Struckmeyer!

I believe that being a nurse is a vital part to who we all are as people, even if we don't feel it just yet. There's a reason we chose this path and every single one of us has the unique and amazing opportunity to make changes in our community! I chose to pursue this path because I have always wanted to make the people around me feel better. I have been on the receiving end of patient care in both good and bad circumstances, and the compassion and true care that I received from my nurses changed my life. I hope that as your Vice President this year, I can help make this journey of nursing school a little less daunting for all of us and provide a space where we can all spend time together and grow as a group!

I have thought about several specialties I might want to pursue after graduation (maybe too many!), but I believe I have found my home in the NICU/Special Care Nursery. I hope to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner eventually. 

I am a true crime junkie, history buff, and love all things scary! I participated in various extracurriculars in high school, but my heart belongs to the color guard- I was also captain my senior year. I'm always down to go watch the newest horror movie or go to the bookstore! 

I'm so excited and honored to serve as your Vice President this year!
