Hi everyone! My name is Omari Fuentes-Shelton, and I am an SDSU-IV senior nursing student. I will serve as your SNA president for the 2024-2025 term, an immense honor and privilege. I was previously the secretary for SNA-IV during the last term. I gained knowledge and experience as a director and learned what I needed to execute to achieve overall success for our association. I aim to achieve my sole objective of SNA-IV, which is to be an organization that caters to the success of nursing students, and I will do anything to reach that objective for their sake. I want to ensure that our nursing students keep that passion and desire for the profession they hold dear to branch out and utilize their profound characteristics and traits to assist people in their most vulnerable states. This will benefit the many people our students will help in their lifetime, but it will also provide a vast amount of growth and improvement to the students! 

In addition to being the SNA-IV president, I work at Dr. Zadeh’s OBGYN clinic and recently got hired as a nursing mentor for SDSU-IV. I enjoy being productive and working, so I rarely sit around at home. You can always catch me at Starbucks doing something academic-related or reading the latest intriguing self-help book! I aim to be a family nurse practitioner, primarily working in pediatrics, and a nursing instructor to assist in educating the future generation of nursing students. Some other fun facts about me are that I love Lana Del Rey, my favorite movie franchise is “Scream,” and my favorite fast-casual restaurant is Chipotle. Again, I am deeply honored to serve as your SNA President this term and will contribute significantly to the organization's success.
