Hi! I’m Mary Santana, and I serve as the Legislative Director on the Student Nurses’ Association Board of Directors. In this role, I help manage board elections, oversee candidacy processes, and ensure our bylaws are current.
I joined SNA to get involved in the nursing community and strengthen my leadership skills, which has also deepened my understanding of how policy shapes the nursing profession. I’m especially interested in the Emergency Department, where I hope to grow my skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Outside of nursing, I enjoy going to the gym, baking, and watching movies which help me stay balanced and relax. Being part of the board has been an honor, giving me the chance to represent my peers and contribute to the continued success of our association

Coordinate and supervise the Board of Directors elections
Coordinate and supervise Cohort Representatives and check-in once per month
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to update the bylaws at least once per year and put revisions to a vote prior to the last meeting of the Fall semester
