My.SDSU Account and- Gmail Activation

5-7 days after you complete your application, you should recieve an email that looks like the screenshot below from donotreplysdsuid. Please follow the instructions in this email to activate your My.SDSU Portal and your SDSU id.

Please see the bullets below that describe the terminology for each new aspect of your SDSU student identity! 

• My.SDSU Portal is where you will check your admission status, accept admission, register for classes, access your unofficial college transcripts, and more. 

• REDid/EmplID: a 9-digit number that starts with a 1 assigned to your name

• SDSUiD is your new student email address (Example: rrhoades@sdsu.edu)

• CLICK HERE to set up your DUO through SDSU. You should NOT need a QR code or activation code: https://duoportal.sdsu.edu/

  • • Link to more DUO instructions can be found here

    • Make sure that you DOWNLOAD the DUO Mobile App on your phone; you will need DUO mobile to access my.SDSU. The video explains how to setup Microsoft Authenticator, but we need you to use DUO instead.

    • You MUST have DUO downloaded AND activate your My.SDSU in order to get classes with your advisor

    • If you are getting a new number or phone soon, wait until you have this new phone before you set up DUO. 

TROUBLESHOOTING

• If you can't find your temporary password, or can't login to your My.SDSU account with your temporary password - contact student IT on this website
