As of 7/27/26, the directive was updated to also include 612, 613, 615, 616, 620, along with other services outside of Early Start and Behavior. Please see the Revised Directive for the full details and list of service codes.
You may be eligible to receive a per mile rate inclusive of overall costs, including staff time, vehicle costs, and agency overhead for each staffing level that travels in excess of the mileage already included in your rate model.
Instructions
Your full rate model includes mileage reimbursement up to a certain amount. Complete rate models can be found by Regional Center on the DDS Website
If you feel that you may qualify to receive excess mileage, please follow these steps:
Email your resource coordinator kristen.vandenbroek@sdrc.org to receive the documents
Complete a sample Excess Mileage Calculator using a previous billing month to ensure that you are meeting the criteria. You do not need to submit this, just use it to determine if you qualify.
If you meet the criteria, submit a signed Excess Mileage agreement form to your resource coordinator.
Your new subcode will be approved and added and futher instructions will be added at this time. You may start submitting at your next billing cycle.
