PHOTOGRAPHY &     DIGITAL MEDIA

Photography and Digital Media 10, 11 & 12

This course focuses on digital photography, photo processing and image manipulation.  Students are given the opportunity to learn the basics of photography using both DSLR and mirrorless camera systems as well as studio lighting.  Assignments will focus on skill and technical development, as well as creative expression.  Because of the nature of the equipment being used, this course requires a high level of personal responsibility on the part of students.  Students are not expected to purchase or own a camera prior to joining this class.  Depending on experience and student interest, some opportunities to work with analogue photography processes may also be available.  It is strongly recommended that students have previously taken a Visual Art class, Tech 9 or another Computer Technology class prior to joining this course.
