This course offers a more advanced study of vocabulary skills, techniques and themes in 2D art forms. This course will offer students more appreciation and understanding of the historical and technical development of these areas. Students will be encouraged to develop a portfolio to enroll in specialized A.P. program, Art Careers, and Studio Arts 12.
Utilizing prerequisite art foundations vocabulary, skills and techniques of 3D art forms, this course introduces specialized instruction in ceramics and sculpture, with a focus to portfolio development and specialized A.P. program, Art Careers and Studio Arts 12.
This is an intensive lab course exploring advanced study of techniques and materials. Students will be encouraged to create original images through a variety of mediums including personal artist statements and art historical research. Students will develop an extensive portfolio for future career opportunities.

This advanced course is for students seriously interested in continuing to work in a visual arts career. These students will be expected to do major projects, to work independently and to study careers in the visual arts. It is anticipated that students will be asked to develop and present a portfolio of work during this course. Students are encouraged to take Studio Art concurrently.
