Digital Imaging 11-12

Students will build on their knowledge of the elements and principles of art recognizing photography as an art form. Digital imaging offers the student critical response to and opportunities in a field that affects us daily from advertising to websites; on an average of 10,000 images daily. Students will appreciate the history of the art form and will learn to create, design, edit, produce and critique such imagery.

Yearbook - Journalism 11-12

Journalism will encompass written and photojournalism skills, graphic design and digital photography. Students will develop skills in group cooperation, print advertising, and magazine layout for a digitally produced yearbook. The student will be evaluated on their understanding of and participation in these forms of communication, journalism, graphic design and production as they produce the school yearbook.

Digital Imaging, design, graphic arts, photography and publishing offer the student career opportunities in a field that effect us daily from advertisements, billboards, e-commerce, printed materials, radio, television, to websites; on average 10,000 images bombard us daily. Students will learn to create, design, edit and produce such imagery.
