Nette has been heavily involved in theatre since she was a teenager: Performing, Stage Managing and Directing in both professional and amateur theatres. She has taught in both the Boundary School District and Greater Victoria School District and is thrilled to be building a theatrical program here at Lambrick Park. She believes that the skills taught in the theatre are ones that build confidence, develop communication skills, incorporate problem solving, cultivate creativity, encourage teamwork and inclusion, and will transfer to any workforce students may pursue beyond high school.

Andrea D Blair: String Orchestra

From almost birth Andrea has been captivated by music. Her interest in the performing arts flowered while still in a Northern Alberta elementary school. Before she was a teenager Andrea was deep into private clarinet lessons and propagating learning to others. The love of music continued to expand after leaving her rural roots to study at Grande Prairie Regional College, University of Lethbridge and eventually at University of Victoria. Subsequent to Andrea’s post secondary development she has decades of teaching music in elementary, middle and high schools and most recently undergraduate courses. Currently she is the drawing force behind the music scene, with an eye towards constant expansion of her programs at Gordon Head Middle, Lambrick Park Secondary and Torquay Elementary in Victoria. Andrea’s teaching method has evolved specifically towards inclusion of all persons, especially those with special needs that may not otherwise be engaged. Her teaching style has even brought outside attention and awards.
