Social Emotional Learning - Week 6
Take a nature walk. Stop to observe several different objects. Use your senses to describe them.
Lay on the grass or sit somewhere outside with a family member. Take a look at the clouds in the sky. What shapes can you see? Do you see any that resemble objects or animals? Describe what you see and try to help them see it too.
Find a chair and sit comfortably with your feet on the floor (like we did during our mindfulness sessions with Miss Sonnie). Close your eyes and do a “body scan” starting with your feet and moving up to the top of your head. (If you need a reminder about the body scan, and other activities we did with Miss Sonnie, look in the Mindfulness booklet she gave you and take a look through it).
