Students will be able to:
Use appropriate measuring tools and techniques to collect data related to velocity calculations
Graphically represent the above-mentioned data for the purpose of validating uniform linear motion
Self-assess their experimentation techniques to determine areas of strength and areas of growth
Read the handout that explains what the purpose of the investigation is.
If you were absent for the explanation day, watch the video below where Mr. DePo explains how to use a ticker-tape timer.
(Optional, but recommended): Watch the youtube video from MathandScience about what Uniform Motion in Physics looks like.
Find a group of 2-3 to work in and collect all necessary resources to perform the investigation
Carry out experiment procedure and data collection.
Use the data to create a graph of velocity vs. time
Use the graph and any other methods/data necessary to argue whether or not the object exhibited uniform linear motion.
In case you missed DePo's in-class explanation of how to use one.
