Welcome to Physics 11! The goal of this course is to:

• help you understand the world around you through the lens of scientific study

• Contribute to a positive, helpful learning environment

• Collaborate with other students and the teacher in a way that brings out the best in everyone in your group/classroom

• Think critically about the forces, laws and patterns that govern the workings of your world

• Encourage creative thought and creative presentations of your learning

• Expose you to the many aspects of physics

• Provide you with the opportunity to acquire skills that will be useful in many scientific disciplines (not just physics!)
