Each student will find Weekly Practice Assignments listed on their class page of Makemusic Cloud after they log in. These are designed to help provide goals and focus to their work outside of class each week. Students should submit their completed work each week for us to review and record.
The practice assignments will not always be included in the final semester grade because they are practice, but they are very important. Completing the practice assignments will help students be successful in their development, playing tests, and performances. These may be completed at home or at school.
These assignments will help you, the parent, know what your child should be working on and how they are doing. If your student says they have nothing to practice or do not know what to practice, you may look at the program and see what is listed each week. The program will also show the correct and incorrect notes of each exercise after a student works on it, so you will know if they mastered each assignment.
You may look at the online Makemusic Cloud gradebook page to see assignments, and students may practice the material off of their sheet music or on the program at school
Traughber has 7 practice rooms that can be used by the students before school, after school, and during lunch.
School practice rooms will now be used for the following purposes:
MakeMusic Cloud Assignments & Tests
Recording and submitting play tests
Practice Room Rules
Students interested in using the school practice rooms will receive a pass in their planner in advance of the practice or lesson session.
Only one student at a time will be allowed to be in the practice room.
Each lunch period will be divided into four sections that the students will sign up for in advance.
If the student is signed up in the first two time slots they will go directly to the band room before they go to lunch. Once they have finished, they will go to lunch (there will be plenty of time to go through the lunch line.)
Keep the practice rooms clean!
Private Lesson Instructors have first priority of Practice Room use.
