Develop balanced instrumentation so that students have a good “band” experience.

Check list for new band members

1. Talk to your parents about band. Read the handout from the school visit in January.

2. Review instrument videos and information.

3. Complete the Band Instrument Appointment Form.

4. Attend the Band Appointment March 17 or 18, 2023.

5. Sign up for School Band, Summer Band, and reserve your instrument at the appointment.

Every student has strengths that match an instrument.

Factors that help determine instrument selection~

• Student’s level of interest in band and commitment to improving.

• Student’s quality of schoolwork.

• Student’s personal habits-organization, neatness, patience, etc.
