Scholarships are added to our Seymour High School website, listed in order of deadlines. Click here to view our current list of known scholarship opportunities. This list provides direct links to scholarship websites to apply! For scholarship specific questions, please contact Holly Cornn at cornnh@scsc.k12.in.us or your student's high school counselor.
The following are some of the many credible websites students may use when searching for scholarships:
Big Future: https://bigfuture.collegeboard.org/scholarship-search
RaiseMe: https://www.raise.me
Students are encouraged to create RaiseMe accounts as soon as their 9th grade year. This website allows students to track their volunteer hours, academic awards, and extracurricular involvement, all while qualifying for potential scholarships!
In addition, RaiseMe has an excellent college search tool for students to explore postsecondary opportunities! Click here to create your RaiseMe Account!
Prior to filing the FAFSA, students should create an FSA ID at this link. The student must create an FSA for himself/herself and ONE parent must also create an FSA. Please do not use school email addresses! These will deactivate upon graduating from SHS. View the help video to the left for a step-by-step guide to creating an FSA ID.
All college-bound students (whether attending a 2 year, 4 year, or vocational school) should file the FAFSA. The earlier students file, the better. We encourage students to make it a goal to file prior to leaving for Christmas break! Feel free to view the video to the left for some helpful information! Click here to file the FAFSA.
