All Jackson County High School students in grades 9-12 and their parents are invited to attend the college fair on September 16th. There will be a financial aid meeting from 6-6:30 pm where families can learn more about the FAFSA from experts at INvestEd, followed by the College Fair from 6:30-8 pm. Over 40 colleges and military representatives will be represented that evening, so come check it out! Please enter Door 17, and park along Community Drive or the SHS student parking lot. Students who need help filing the FAFSA should plan to attend. This event starts at 6:00 pm and ends at 7:30. Students should bring their chromebooks, all tax documentation required for filing the FAFSA, and HAVE A CREATED FSA ID! To create an FSA ID, click here. THE FAFSA DEADLINE FOR INDIANA IS APRIL 15TH, so do not delay!
All Juniors will take the SAT on March 3rd or 4th, during school hours. This is a required statewide assessment as part of Indiana graduation requirements, so do not miss! Please eat a healthy breakfast, arrive well rested, and CHARGE YOUR CHROMEBOOK!
Any current 10th grade student interested in attending C4 for 11th and 12th grade should sign up to attend a field trip on Friday, January 9th. C4 offers a vareity of Career Technical Education programs that SHS does not offer (ex: Cosmetology, Automotive Technology, Criminal Justice, Graphic Design, 3D Animation, Veterinary Science, Medical Assisting, Permission slips must be turned in by Friday, December 19th.
