Students MUST be passing at least six SHS courses to remain eligible for IHSAA athletics. Most students take seven courses, with one study hall, every semester of high school.

If you want to complete in NCAA sports in college, you must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Plan to register before your freshman year of high school. For a complete guide on the process, review the Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete here.
Step 1: Create an account through the NCAA Eligibility Center. Click here for a Registration Checklist prior to getting started!
As an incoming 9th grader, you may create a Free Profile Page Account. This account can later be transitioned to a Certification account if needed.
If playing DI or DII sports, you must eventually create an Academic and Amateurism Certification Account. This requires a $100 registration fee. Free Profile Page Accounts can later be transitioned into this account.
Step 2: Work with your SHS Counselor to ensure you're taking the required CORE courses for eligibility. Look up SHS approved courses here.

Step 3: If actively being recruited by a DI or DII school, transition your free Profile Page Account to the Academic and Amateurism Certification Account.
