Enrolment Application and Information for 2026/2027
5th and 6th class had a great morning on the 26th of June with Padraig (Something Fishy Co-ordinator) and John (Inland Fisheries Ireland). They learned all about different fish and got to take a look at some fishing equipment before heading down to the stream where they assessed the water quality by investing the insects living there. They also got to hold some trout and salmon and learned how to cast a fly fishing rod .

We celebrated Autism Appreciation Week in April. The week was filled with activities, discussions and fun! Empowering our pupils with autism with teaching and learning is a privilege for all of us.
Ukulele Jam- Watergate Theatre
3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th class participated in a Ukulele Jam on the 13th of May 2024 in the Watergate Theatre along with other Kilkenny schools involved with Music Generation Ireland
4th, 5th and 6th class are taking part in a six-week language sampler module in Spanish. The module will take place over a six-week period in Term 3.
Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál has been successfully engaged in An Taisce’s Green-Schools programme for many years. We are extremely proud of all our achievements to date!
To celebrate this work and for Bike Week, Chiara Hanrahan visited the school on Tuesday 31st May and Wednesday 1st June to deliver a Bike Skills session to all classes.
On the day Chiara who is a fully trained and vetted cycling instructor, covered some basic safety skills with the children and reinforced these skills through fun by playing some games in the yard.
Peace Proms - UL Sports Arena Limerick
4th , 5th and 6th class had an amazing day at the Peace Proms Concert in the UL Sports Arena on Saturday 14th May. Well done to everyone!
4th , 5th and 6th class took part in the first online rehearsal for Peace Proms 2022 with conductor Greg Beardsell on the 2nd March.
